Spiced Cranberry Chai Tea
2 cups pure cranberry juice (unsweetened)
2 ounces fresh squeezed lemon juice
2 cinnamon sticks
1 teaspoon whole cloves
2 bags of chai tea (try not to use a chai tea blend, or flavored chai tea)
* fresh lemon or orange slices for garnish (optional)
Combine the cranberry juice, lemon juice, cinnamon sticks and cloves in a saucepan, and bring to a low boil over medium-low heat. Add in the chai tea bags, turn off heat and let the tea steep for 3-5 minutes. Remove the tea bags, cinnamon sticks and cloves from the saucepan and pour the tea into 2 mugs. Garnish with fresh lemon or orange slices (optional) and serve. Makes 2 servings.
* This is a non-alcohol recipe, but if you wanted to add alcohol, you can stir in 1-2 ounces of dark rum or brandy just before serving.
