Spiced Cider Coffee – Non Alcoholic
strong brewed coffee
real apple cider
thin cut orange slices (for garnish)
*Additional optional garnishes: fresh cinnamon sticks and/or thin cut apple slices
Using an automatic drip coffee maker, prepare enough coffee grounds to make half a pot of strong coffee and place into your coffee filter. Sprinkle in a generous pinch of ground cinnamon and a smaller pinch of ground nutmeg and ground cardamon on top of the ground coffee beans. Fill the coffee pot half full with filtered water and pour into your coffee maker.
Next, refill the coffee pot you just emptied, slightly less than half full with apple cider and stir in 2-3 tablespoons of brown sugar until it is relatively dissolved. Place the coffee pot with the cider onto the burner plate and switch on the coffee maker. After the coffee has brewed and combined with the sweetened apple cider, pour the spiced cider coffee into mugs and garnish each mug with a thin cut orange slice. You may also add in additional optional garnishes of a fresh cinnamon stick or thin cut apple slice.
