Ginger Sage Tea
2 bags Irish breakfast tea
1 teaspoon finely minced ginger root
2 fresh sprigs of sage
raw honey, to sweeten (optional)
Place 1/2 teaspoon of the finely minced ginger root and 1 sprig of fresh sage into 2 large mugs. Place a tea bag on top in each mug and fill with boiling water. Let steep for 5 minutes. Use a spoon to stir and agitate the ingredients to fully infuse the essential oils from the tea leaves, ginger root and sage. Remove the tea bags. Sweeten with a spoonful of raw honey, if desired, and serve. Makes 2 servings.
