European Style  Pancake Squares

 

European Style Pancake Squares
(preheat oven to 450 degrees and generously grease bottom and sides of an 8×8 inch baking pan with 2-3 tablespoons of butter)

Place the greased baking pan into your preheating oven to heat while preparing remaining ingredients.

4 large eggs
2/3 cups milk (regular or non-dairy)
2/3 cup flour (all-purpose)
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
pinch of raw sugar

* Powdered sugar and/or real maple syrup for topping

Beat together the eggs, milk, flour, sea salt and raw sugar in a mixing bowl until all of the ingredients are well combined. Once your oven has preheated, remove the hot baking pan and pour in the pancake batter. Return pan to oven and bake on center oven rack for 15-18 minutes. Remove from oven and let stand for 5 minutes before cutting into squares and topping with powdered sugar and maple syrup.
