Holiday Appetizer Cranberry Topped Brie Bites

 

Cranberry Brie Bites

1 jar cranberry chutney

3/4 C fresh cranberries

3 Tbsp raw  sugar

1/2 tsp orange zest

1 Tbsp minced candied ginger

Brie cheese

water crackers

Melt 1/2 of the chutney in a saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, brush the fresh cranberries with the melted chutney, roll through the raw sugar and let dry on waxed or parchment paper for 1 hour.

Stir the remaining chutney together with the orange zest and minced ginger. Slice brie into 1/4″ slices. Arrange crackers on plate or serving platter. To assemble, layer each cracker with a piece of brie, a dollop of chutney zest mixture, followed by the sugared cranberries. Serve immediately or keep in fridge until ready to serve.
